Your Finances
Rent payments that are owed by your tenants will be created automatically based on the rent amount, rent interval (do they pay daily, weekly, monthly?), the date when the lease agreement begins, and the length of the lease agreement.
There are a few ways to view your upcoming payments. Every individual tenant's past, current, and future payments will be displayed on their profile, which you can access by clicking their name from the list of tenants that is displayed after clicking the "Tenant" link on the top menu bar. Upcoming payments specific to a particular property are displayed in the property's profile, which can be viewed by clicking on the property's name from the list of properties that appears after clicking the "Properties" link on the top menu bar.
Finally, you can view all of your past due and next-due payments by clicking on the "Finances" tab in the top menu bar. This is also the page where you will be able to mark payments as paid. Since we know you are busy, you will simply need to mark a payment as "Paid Late" or "Paid on Time", this way you can keep track of who makes late payments without having to spend your time tediously entering specific dates of each and every payment if you don't find that to be necessary. However, if you do want to track the exact date of your payments, you can do so by going back to edit payments that have been made to show the exact date as explained in the next paragraph.
We understand that there may be special circumstances which would alter a payment, such as an agreement that the tenant will mow the lawn in June in order to get a $40.00 credit to their normal rent payment. If you wish to change a regular payment, you can easily do this by going to the tenant's profile, scrolling down to their list of payments, and then clicking the "Edit" link to the left of the payment you'd like to change. There will be room for you to add a note explaining the circumstances. Click the "Submit" button on the bottom of the "Edit Payment" form when you have completed.
